Traditional or not, all weddings have one thing in common, the pinnacle moment when the bride walks down the aisle and all eyes are on her. Every couple gets married for different reasons, but one way or another they share this moment forever.

Every person deserves to feel beautiful on their wedding day, and people shine when they feel most like themselves. For those brides with non-traditional style, it can be challenging to overcome the stereotype dress: white, big and full of tulle.

If that one type of doesn't fit your personality or make you feel special, go find one that does. That is another thing all weddings have in common, the bride gets what she wants.

Every bride has the right to do her wedding her way, which may not be the traditional way.

There are some modern, trendy and beautiful alternatives to a traditional bridal look. No matter what look you choose, traditional or not, what makes the dress beautiful is you.

10 A Two-Piece Set

For a bride who wants to be creative and mix and match different styles, a two-piece set is a fun look to put together. The example above is a modern take on a feminine skirt-suit duo, but who is to say a two-piece can´t be a crop top and pants or a skirt?

A two-piece look is a really fun way to be creative with formal wear because you can mix and match. Maybe a tank top crop, with a tulle midi skirt gives an ode to the traditional bridal look but with a modern twist.

And it definitely does not have to be white. This is a personal favorite for adding flair, creativity and personal style to your bridal look.

9 A Jumpsuit Or Pantsuit

Who wears the pants anyways? Maybe both spouses on their wedding day.

A jumpsuit is a very powerful look no matter the style. Options here include a feminine pantsuit with a low-cut blazer and flared pants or a one-piece jumpsuit with a feminine fitted top.

The pantsuit is always a great idea, but especially for an eventful wedding with lots of movement. The example above is from Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas´s vegas wedding, which you can imagine was literally quite the rollercoaster.

8 Any Color That Is Not White

Like we said, to each bride her own. If white doesn´t feel right to you, go with a color that does.

In many cultures women wear a red dress to their wedding, a symbol of luck and love. Many brides the last few years have chosen pastel pinks and blues, but who is to say she can´t wear black.

Short dresses let the bride dance and move with ease, and they are stylish. Short dresses are so diverse just like long dresses, so if you know that you want a short dress there are many different options to choose from to find a personalized dress.

6 Midi Dress

Midi dresses have made a big comeback in the last year and it looks like they are here to stay. Why not incorporate one of the most trendy styles into bridal wear? It is like a breath of fresh air in a bridal look: the elegance of a traditional gown but make it fashion.

5 Satin Dress

Satin dresses are another great option for a fashionista bride, as satin is very in this year. From winter 2021 to fall satin is in all of the stores and runways: satin shirts, pants and dresses.

The silky feeling of the dress is also very comfortable, for enjoying a long wedding day, but it does not lack elegance.

4 Patterned Dress

For a bride who can´t pick one color, or has a very colorful personality, take as many colors as you want and add some patterns too!

Patterned dresses can include many colors, flowers, maybe even polka dots, whatever allows the bride to express herself and feel stunning.

3 Sequined & Beaded Dresses

Apart from colors, lengths and materials, some brides might prefer an added dimension: beads or sequins.

Beads and sequins add a 1920´s inspired elegance, but depending on the cut of the dress can also be very modern. Beads might add some weight to the dress, but wedding dresses are usually heavy anyway, you might as well be sparkling.

2 High Fashion Dress

The category is: bride chic.

The aisle is your runway of a lifetime, make it your catwalk.

Wedding dresses are expensive, if a traditional gown doesn´t appeal to you buy a dress that does. Since a wedding dress is an excuse to buy a marvelous gown, spring for that runway look you always wanted.

1 A Dress You Would Wear Again

Going back to how expensive wedding dresses are, it is a good option to buy something you can wear again.

Princess Charlotte, pictured above with her husband had a small garden wedding and found non-traditional sunday-dress to be fitting for her day.

Or maybe you want to get married, but don´t want to have a big wedding. Go down to city hall in any dress that you have and make it your wedding dress.

All brides wish they could wear their wedding gown again, wear one that you can and relive that special day again and again.
