Khloe Kardashians has always been compared to her older sisters Kim and Kourtney for her different body type and proportions. Though she’s every bit as gorgeous as her sisters, Khloe has always noticeably looked different. We’re so used to seeing Khloe with a totally made-up face thanks to her team of professional makeup artists and hairstylists. So, when she skips her signature contouring and smoky eye, she looks like a completely different person!
The media has been incredibly cruel to Khloe when she’s spotted sans makeup. But what kind of girl wears makeup all the time? Just because Khloe is a reality star, it doesn’t mean we should expect her to look like her best self 100% of the time.
Khloe has been open about how she’s proud of herself- with and without makeup! "I'm proud of myself. I could break and go get all this work done and get my nose fixed and get lipo or do whatever, but I haven't chosen to do that because I know I'm a great person," she told E!. "I'm pretty damn hot if you ask me." We totally agree Khloe!
15 Looking Rough At The Club
After a long night of partying, Khloe was looking a bit rough when this photo was snapped. The then brunette's hairdo was pretty messy, which we’re sure isn’t how she started out at the beginning of the evening. Her makeup also looks a tad bit smudged and in need of a touch-up.
But the real travesty of this look is Khloe’s ill-fitting dress. While the dress itself is cute, it seems like this reality star should have gone up a size. It’s squeezing her so tightly that we can’t imagine this would be comfortable for a night filled with drinking and dancing. Plus, it’s just not the most flattering look.
Even before she got her revenge body, Khloe was still curvaceous and gorgeous. But wearing clothing that’s just too tight does nothing for no one. We’re glad that Khloe has since consulted the help of a stylist to make sure she avoids fashion failures like this.
14 When Khloe Tried To Be A Hippie
We’ve all tried to rock a Coachella-inspired look while not actually at a music festival, including Khloe Kardashian! Back in the mid-2000s, Khloe showed up to an event in this questionable outfit- and the look on her face says it all.
Her smoky eyes and brightly colored lips are a good look for her, but it’s that awkward hippie headpiece that’s confusing us. It makes her hair look poofy on the bottom and her head unusually large (don’t worry Khloe, this type of headband does this to everyone).
It also looks like she’s wearing a casual denim chambray shirt. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s a far cry from the dressed-up outfits we’re used to seeing Khloe in today. All in all, this outfit makes her look like she’s trying too hard, and that’s never cute!
13 When Khloe Wasn't The Next (Fashion) Apprentice
Donald Trump sure looked like he was being hard on Khloe when she starred on The Celebrity Apprentice. In this still from the show, it’s clear the Khloe is carrying a bit more extra weight that she usually does, especially in her face. Her stringy dark hair does nothing for her orange complexion and pulled back it only makes her look more frazzled.
Khloe’s fashion choices also weren’t on point during this reality TV appearance. The star’s chocolate brown top could actually be washing her out rather than making her pop on camera.
Her cringe worthy large hoop earrings were better left in the ‘90s than on television screens of today. Khloe’s face seems to understand that this is definitely not her best look ever. Guess there’s a reason she didn’t go on to become the next apprentice!
12 The Story Of The Double Chin
From certain angles, anyone and everyone can look like they have a double chin- even Khloe Kardashian! The reality star was once caught making an unflattering face that resulted in this double chin catastrophe. Khloe looks ten times heavier thanks to her pudgy chin when this look was snapped.
We do have to give her credit for having her makeup look on fleek. Despite the awkward angle, there’s no denying that her sultry eye makeup (especially her voluminous lashes) look great. Her skin and lips also aren’t too bad either. If it wasn’t for that tragic double chin, Khloe wouldn’t be looking half bad!
But, like we said, we’ve all taken photos where a double chin creeps out of nowhere, so no one can blame Khloe for this cringy photo. She’d probably agree she looks just as bad in it as we agree. The only thing we’re jealous about is that Khloe still manages to look better than us while sporting a double chin!
11 The Blushing Makeup Disaster
The Kardashians are the queens of contouring, but there existed a time when even they didn’t know how to make their cheekbones pop. Take this disastrous makeup look that Khloe was caught in while on the red carpet.
The brunette stepped before the cameras with way too much blush on her cheeks. It looks like she applied her blush without looking in the mirror, not with the help of a dozen makeup artists. Nowadays, Khloe wouldn’t be caught dead with such a hilarious makeup job on her face.
The rest of Khloe’s outfit makes this look all the worse. Her zebra striped mini dress is too tacky and she went heavy with the rest of her makeup, including over lining her eye and that regrettably peach lipstick. We’re glad that Khloe now knows the ins and outs of contouring, so she’ll never make this mistake twice.
10 Khloe Rocking That Cringy Crimped Hair
What did you do to your hair, Khloe? While she has #hairgoals for days now, there was a time where Khloe didn’t know what the heck she was doing with her locks. The youngest Kardashian sister has tried a ton of differents cuts and colors throughout the years, and she’s currently rocking a honey blonde look at the moment. But this pic is proof that she didn’t always know how to get by as a blonde.
Khloe’s roots are on major display in this photo. But what’s really confusing us is her tightly curled (or crimped) hair. First of all, we want to know how she achieved such a poodle-esque hairstyle. Is this the work of some tight braids or an ill-fated perm? Either way, the result was bad. Very bad. This blonde hue on Khloe also isn’t working. It looks like she tried to bleach her hair at home and now it’s two different colors. We’re glad Khloe has sorted out her hair game since then!
9 That Shockingly Sheer Shirt
Nowadays, Khloe is building an empire apart from her famous family based on her solid-rock abs and toned booty. But it was only a few years ago that Khloe was showing up to red carpet events with a tummy that isn’t as flat as it is today.
In this photo, the youngest Kardashian sister rocked a sheer top that showed everything off, from her black bra to tummy pooch. Her ill-fitting high waisted pants gave the illusion of a muffin top, while her blazer-inspired vest did nothing to make this look more polished. All in all, Khloe was looking like a hot mess in this all-black outfit.
The Khloe we know today can rock a sheer shirt or tank top no problem. It’s even better when she pairs it with high waisted jeans to show off her enviable curves. But this is proof that Khloe has come a long way in looking and feeling confident about her curvy body.
8 The Dress That Spoke For Her
You want to be wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you. But that can’t be said for Khloe in this larger-than-life maxi dress that she wore to the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards. There was just too much going on with this leopard print dress to make it look fashionable.
For starters, the print was literally everywhere. In some areas, it was large and overpowering; while in others the print was more subtle. But the black and white animal print just seemed tacky for the most part.
In addition, the empire waist style of the dress seemed to hide most of Khloe’s figure rather than accentuate it. The layers upon layers of fabric hid her enviable curves away and just made her look frumpy. Khloe’s huge beach style waves and smoky makeup only added to the strange vibes we’re getting from this not-so-glam look.
7 The Dress From Junior Prom
If you were a teenage girl in the early to mid-2000s, then chances are you wore some sort of dress like this to a school dance. Khloe looked like all of us when she showed up to a red carpet event in this cheesy frock. The sweetheart neckline made it look like she was celebrating her sweet sixteen, while the baby doll style swept over her curves and made her look like she had something to hide under the layers of the dress.
Khloe’s accessorizing was also a tragedy in this look. She didn’t do herself any favors when she stacked a load of random bangles on her arm and layered a tacky necklace, which only competed with the busy neckline of her dress. Khloe’s hair, on the other hand, looks unkempt and in need of some styling. Let’s just say that the early 2000s weren’t a kind time for fashion, no matter who you are.
6 A Body Con Dress Wasn't The Right Choice
Silver is a stunning color on Khloe! But what isn’t a great look is the fit of this dress. This long sleeved mini dress hugs the reality star everywhere, and not in the most flattering way. The dress is so tight in Khloe’s mid section that it's making her stomach pop out at unflattering angles. Though Khloe definitely wasn’t pregnant when this photo was taken, it doesn’t necessarily look that way.
The rest of Khloe’s look doesn’t help her case. Her oversized leopard print clutch just looks mismatched and tacky when paired with this sequin dress. Her long hair doesn’t seem like it matches the glamorous vibes of her outfit- an updo might have done her wonders. A bit of Spanx and some matching accessories can go a long way, Khloe.
5 Those Horrendous Heart-Printed Tights
Khloe kind of looked like how we all did at our first middle school dance. We were trying to rock all of the trends while looking cool, even though we didn’t know the first thing about creating a smoky eye or walking in heels. Khloe is definitely giving off a semi-hot mess vibe in this look. She just looks like she meshed a bunch of trends together trying to be edgy, but she only looks confused instead.
First of all, that empire-waist pleather dress seems tacky and a bit ill-fitting. But the worst element of his outfit has got to be Khloe’s sheer heart printed tights, which look like something you’d wear when you’re six. She made things worse by pairing them with her strange chunky heels and overdoing it with the purple eye shadow. The big hooped earrings only add to the cringe factor. Often less is more, Khloe!
4 Just A Casual Day In The Neighborhood
Everyone knows that Khloe is thick, curvy, and gorgeous! She regularly updates her followers with risqué selfies and pics from photo shoots that show off her ample curves- especially her round booty.
But this particular dress just wasn’t showing off Khloe’s assets in the best light. Her backside looks a lot larger than normal in this figure-hugging frock. They say that stripes can make you look heavier, and it seems like Khloe is proving that point!
Furthermore, her tacky heels made it look like she was trying too hard to be fancy in this obviously casual look. She was just going to the grocery store, not a red carpet event! Khloe has finally found her stunning signature style, so we doubt she’d be seen in an outfit this poorly matched nowadays.
3 Khloe Going Wild At The Liquor Store
Khloe wasn’t always the poised and sophisticated star she is on the red carpet nowadays. Just like her older sisters, she liked to party back in her younger days and could go a bit wild.
In this picture, she’s showing off how outrageous she could get while promoting a new alcoholic beverage at a liquor store. Kim was pouring something down her mouth, while Khloe looked ready to bust a move even though we bet there wasn’t a DJ at this event.
Nowadays, the Kardashian family would be horrified if one of their family members got this loose in public Hey, this family has a lot of cameras on them! We bet Khloe wishes she’d been on better behavior when photos like this one were snapped.
2 It's Just A Bad Angle
Khloe is back at it again with the double chin! The reality star is known for her gloriously awful double chin, which sometimes shows itself at opportune angles. In this photo, Khloe’s makeup and outfit seemed on point. But it was the poor angle of the camera that made her seem a bit on the heavier side in this pic.
Seriously, Khloe looks way better with a double chin than any of us, so who are we to hate on her? In this photo, her makeup looked amazing and her hair was total goals. We’re loving her statement jewelry, even if it’s a bit mid-2000s for our taste. And Khloe’s white button-down shirt was definitely very chic. Khloe definitely has a history of wearing outfits that are too small for her. Since getting her "Revenge Body," she seems to have a better grasp of what’s flattering on her figure. But when her family was first becoming regulars in Hollywood, she would rock dresses that seemed like a size or two too small, and it just wasn’t cute!
In this photo, Khloe was a lot curvier than she is today. But she tried to squeeze all of her assets into this mini dress and it just wasn’t working. The shiny fabric showed off every little bump and curve on her body, while the structure boning was obviously digging in on her in certain parts. Khloe’s un-voluminous hair and amateur makeup only adds to this obvious fashion failure. At least her shoes were cute!
