There’s no doubt about it — the world is obsessed with Kylie Jenner. Each Kardashian-Jenner sister, at this point, has their own set of fan girls. There are those who love Kim, fitness lovers who adore Khloe, healthy eating advocates who are all about Kourtney, and fashionistas who worship Kendall. However, for whatever reason, Kylie seems to have emerged as one of the most popular, perhaps because of how much she’s transformed over the years.
The public essentially watched her grow up in front of the camera on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and now with her own spin-off reality television show and super active social media presence, the Kylie show is continuing. People want to buy the products she buys, eat the things she eats, wear the make-up she wears… and, it seems, look the way she does!
The thing with Kylie is that she does tend to go full glam with her make-up, which means that if you apply your make-up in a certain way and you have features that even remotely resemble hers, you can get a bit of a Kylie look-alike situation going on, as these women found out.
Here are 15 double takes where we have to ask — will the real Kylie please stand up?
15 Demi Rose (aka the British Kylie, who just so happens to be dating Kylie's ex)
At this point, chances are, you’ve heard of Demi Rose. She’s probably the most famous Kylie look-alike out there, and she upped the ante by even dating Kylie’s ex, Tyga! From her wardrobe choices to her choice in a man to her overall look, everything about her seems to scream ‘I want to be like Kylie.’ The British bombshell has been capturing a lot of tabloid attention for, well, looking like Kylie — but if Kylie could turn her looks into an entire career, why can’t Demi Rose? We’re not sure what’s on the forecast for this British model, but we have a feeling she’ll be following in Kylie’s footsteps, whatever she does. I mean, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Perhaps she was a huge Kylie fan and decided to transform herself into the British version of the reality star.
14 Shivani Sharma (pretty sure this photographer/student is Kylie’s long-lost twin)
Shivani Sharma is a student and photographer based in Toronto, and she’s one of the many gorgeous women out there who has a YouTube channel. Sharma’s channel, ModernDayShivalry, is a spot where she gives out beauty tips and other advice, and in a particular collaboration video with make-up artist Ashley Harry, she decided to harness the power of make-up and transform herself into Kylie. Now, make-up can do pretty magical things, but we have a feeling no one expected quite a thorough transformation — particularly when you look at Sharma side by side with Kylie, she looks so similar! Perhaps being a Kylie look-alike could be a lucrative side hustle for this student while she works her way through school. I mean, if she could command even a fraction of what Kylie gets for appearances, that would definitely be a nice chunk of change.
13 Val Mercado (the Mermaid-haired Kylie doppelganger)
Val Mercado is another one of those women with ambiguous slash-filled occupations — she’s an actress/model/influencer/etc. Despite not really being all that famous in her own right, Mercado has over a million followers on Instagram for one reason alone — she looks a whole lot like Kylie. Like Demi Rose, Mercado took her lookalike status to the next level by dating Tyga for a while (seriously, we feel like Tyga needs to get over Kylie — the fact that every other woman he dates is a look-alike of his former boo is pretty weird). Just like Kylie, she’s had locks of every colour, including the pastel ones pictured here. Just like Kylie, she’s all about accentuating her curves in her pictures. Over a million may be pretty amazing for a regular person on Instagram, but she still has a long way to go before she catches up with Kylie.
12 Gabrielle Waters (it's like Kylie stepped through a mirror)
Gabrielle Waters was just an ordinary teen, posting to social media, when she began to get a ton of comments from her followers saying that she bore a striking resemblance to Kylie Jenner. Waters decided to run with that idea, and her social media feed has since turned into photoshoots where she’s doing just about everything possible to mimic Kylie’s look — and it’s definitely working. In the shot pictured, she’s done everything from getting a similar background to getting a similar red bodycon dress, holding a jacket in the same hand, looking off into the distance as a pose, etc. This is a woman devoted to her look-alike status, and we’ve got to give her props for her effort. She could definitely be Kylie’s long-lost twin.
11 Chloe Ferry (Kylie's British twin who is also a reality television star)
For those who are only fans of trashy American reality television and aren’t too familiar with trashy reality television on the other side of the pond, Chloe Ferry appeared on the reality television show Geordie Shore, which is basically the British version of former favourite Jersey Shore. It’s the exact same premise — a lot of partying, a lot of drinking, a lot of make-up, a lot of hook-ups. While we’re not sure how much she would resemble the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister without make-up, when she has her whole face on, there’s no doubt that Ferry has a pretty strong resemblance to Kylie. That is, until she opens her mouth and that Newcastle accent comes tumbling out. Perhaps if she refined her make-up skills a little bit and learned to speak with an American accent, people would legit mistake her for Kylie taking a trip abroad!
10 Nina Vee (she could probably show up to an episode of KUWTK and no one would notice a difference)
Nina Vee is yet another blogger/vlogger who specialized in beauty, style, and the like. She posts tutorials and make-up look videos, just like all the other beauty vloggers, and while she doesn’t have quite as many subscribers and followers as some of the big beauty gurus, there is one thing that sets her apart — she looks a whole lot like Kylie Jenner. And obviously, her skill with make-up only helps that out, because she’s able to apply looks that really accentuate her similarities to the reality television star. I mean, from the beanie to the perfectly plump lips to the hand placed just so, to show off her nails, the resemblance is uncanny! One of these days, just for fun, Kylie should hire a look-alike to do her own make-up and just watch the hilarity ensue.
9 Instagram cutie Kelsey Calamine (who has mastered Kylie's colourful locks)
Los Angeles teen Kelsey Calamine isn’t a household name, and doesn’t really have any significant acting or modeling credits under her belt. However, she has over a million followers on Instagram. Yes, part of the reason is likely that she’s a gorgeous girl, but a big reason is that she bears a striking resemblance to Kylie Jenner. Unlike some other Kylie look-alikes, she doesn’t always pose exactly like Jenner or rock the same kind of look, so there are some shots where the resemblance is a little bit more distant. However, in ones like the picture above, where she’s rocking shorter pastel locks, just like Kylie was rocking for a while, she looks so similar it’s scary. We’re not sure what Calamine’s dreams are beyond being Insta-famous, but especially in Los Angeles, she could capitalize on her look-alike status.
8 Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy, where'd you go?)
Just like Kylie Jenner, Ariel Winter grew up on camera — the only difference is, rather than growing up on a reality television show, Winter grew up in front of audiences on the popular sitcom Modern Family, playing the role of the brainy Alex Dunphy. In the past year or two in particular, as she’s hit her teenage years, Winter has utterly transformed — suddenly she’s embracing her curves and wearing clothing that shows them off in a major way, and she’s posing in ways that wouldn’t look out of place in a men’s magazine. We wouldn’t really associate her look with Kylie Jenner previously, but lately, from certain angles, and in certain make-up looks/outfits, she does resemble the reality television queen.
7 Afshan Azad (she's sure looking more glam since leaving Hogwarts!)
For those who may not recognize her, Afshan Azad’s first taste of stardom came at a young age, when she snagged the role of Padma Patil in the Harry Potter franchise. Unlike some of the main cast, the role didn’t exactly turn into an acting career catalyst — since the films wrapped, she’s remained in Britain leading a relatively low key life (apart from a little family drama, but we won’t go into that). Like Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom, Azad has definitely grown up well, and looks super gorgeous now. And, from certain angles, if she does her make-up just right, she looks a lot like Kylie. Perhaps if she decides she wants to go into the acting game again, she can start out by playing a reality television starlet in a thinly veiled Kylie reference.
6 Kandee Johnson (aka Queen of Kylie-inspired make-up)
Okay, on an ordinary day, YouTube beauty guru Kandee Johnson looks absolutely nothing like Kylie Jenner. However, Johnson is an absolute pro when it comes to make-up — in fact, unlike many of the beauty gurus who just do tutorials and looks because they love playing around with make-up, Johnson is actually a legit make-up artist. And, in one of her videos, she harnessed her make-up skills to create a Kylie Jenner look — and the results are pretty amazing. She went full throttle, incorporating everything from the hair to the pose, and it’s kind of crazy how similar she was able to get herself, considering she didn’t resemble Kylie that much at the beginning. It just goes to show you exactly how transformative make-up can be!
5 Heather Sanders (whose style Kylie was literally accused of copying)
The relationships in the whole Kardashian-Jenner universe are so weird and tangled. Heather Sanders used to be close friends with Blac Chyna before something happened in their friendship, and she also got some ties to Kylie when the reality television queen was accused of copying Sanders’ style. Now, we get that imitation is a form of flattery and all, but we have to agree with the Kylie haters on this one — given how much money Kylie makes off of everything she does, from her make-up projects to simple selfies, copying an entrepreneur trying to make it work is just not cool. The thing that makes it even more obvious when Kylie tries to copy her is that she and Sanders look quite a bit alike — you can especially see it when they’re styled in similar ways, such as this shot where they’re both rocking the same hairstyle.
4 Nina Vee, part two (no wonder she's so successful on YouTube!)
Ah, Nina Vee. We get it — it’s tough to make yourself a star on YouTube. There are definitely a handful of individuals who make a hugely successful living off of their YouTube channels, but for every one of those superstars, there are tens of thousands of channels with only a handful of views. Nina Vee is somewhere in the middle — she’s no longer a nobody, but she definitely hasn’t achieved the status that some of the other beauty gurus have. However, her one selling point is obvious the minute you look at her — she looks a whole lot like Kylie Jenner, which means brands just may be more tempted to go to her with their projects and try to capitalize on the look-alike factor, since so many people are utterly obsessed with Kylie Jenner.
3 Val Mercado, Part Two (Tyga's latest lookalike)
We have to wonder if Val Mercado spends a lot of her time creeping Kylie’s Instagram and practicing the poses in front of the mirror, because a lot of her shots have an uncanny resemblance to Jenner’s. From the way she poses in full body shots to show off her curves to the selfies she takes with expert fish gape, trying to show off those plump Kylie-esque lips, just about everything on her social media page screams Kylie. We have to wonder if Kylie sees all these look-alikes and feels flattered, or if she’s just annoyed that they’re stealing her style (although, when it comes to stealing looks, Kylie really can’t be one to judge based on all the past drama she’s had with her clothing projects).
2 Beach babes (did Demi Rose buy that swimsuit before or after Kylie did?)
Okay, we’ve got to say — the two swimsuits here are just way too similar. We’re not sure who bought it first, but the fact that both of these ladies got the same type of strappy two-piece is a bit coincidental, particularly since the public has been so obsessed with how much Demi Rose looks like Kylie. We have a feeling that Demi Rose is constantly checking out what Kylie is doing and trying to imitate her looks and her style, because that is a woman who absolutely wants to get famous and will do just about anything to get there. She’s probably studied Kylie’s wardrobe carefully and picked out similar items in an attempt to really work with the look-alike angle. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.
1 Which Kylie is human, which Kylie is wax?
Like many other celebrities before her, reality queen Kylie Jenner received her very own wax look-alike at Madame Tussaud’s. And quite honestly, while there have been some questionable wax figures for other celebrities, this one is pretty masterfully done. In fact, if Kylie weren’t wearing slightly lighter make-up than usual, and if her wax figure wasn’t wearing a full glam ball gown that no one would wear on a regular press trip to Madame Tussaud’s, we’d have a pretty tough time figuring out which was the real Kylie and which was the wax Kylie. Given how much she loves selfies, we’re actually surprised Kylie doesn’t make a regular pilgrimage to check out her wax twin and take a twin selfie with her. We suppose her posing would be pretty static, though.
