In the entertainment industry, there are two types of celebrities: Those who stay out of trouble, and those who just can’t stay away from the drama. The latter find themselves getting arrested frequently, going in and out of rehab, ticking everyone off with their insensitive tweets, and practically being blackballed from the industry. Although it’s entertaining to watch these train wrecks take place right before our eyes, we can’t help but to feel a tinge of sadness when our faves just can’t seem to get their lives in order.It seems like every few weeks, these celebrities are making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Many of them are still in the early stages of their careers, so they’re definitely not starting off on the right foot. Others have been in the industry for decades, and their “rebel” label has followed them every where they’ve turned.

15 Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is definitely taking the “diva” persona a bit too far. We get it - she has been compared to the ultimate diva Mariah Carey since the start of her career, but Carey has earned the right to be a bit of a prima donna. She has paid her dues and earned respect from her peers and her fans. Grande, on the other hand, came out the gates swinging with her alleged bad attitude and even worse behavior.
In 2014, Grande’s life coach allegedly quit on her, because he couldn’t deal with the singer’s “poor attitude.” Then, the singer was rumored to have said she wished all of her fans would “f****** die.” To top it off, she was caught on video licking display donuts at a donut shop in California. In the video, Grande could also be heard saying she hates Americans.
Grande has so much talent, that can never be denied, but the fact that trouble seems to follow her everywhere leaves a bad taste in many music lovers’ mouths.
14 Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is a pretty amazing singer and songwriter and early on in her career, fans were enthralled by her wholesome and girl next door vibe. She was a breath of fresh air in the music industry, and she took the world by storm by topping the charts with her catchy tunes. But these days, Swift is better known as an undercover mean girl who gravitates towards drama.
From her cliquish girl squad to her on-again off-again beef with Kanye West, Swift’s reputation has been in the pits lately, and it all has to do with her snobbish attitude and her affinity for always playing the victim. After being called out for lying about giving permission to West to use her name in his track “Famous,” Swift’s social media accounts were flooded with snake emojis, and it seems like fans have had enough of her and her antics.
Her ever-changing love life is also full of drama, and instead of walking away from each relationship with her head held high, Swift keeps the drama brewing by penning breakup songs about each of her exes. John Mayer is one of Swift’s former lovers who felt completely disrespected when Swift alluded to him pursing her when she was underage. In the end, we’re pretty sure most of Swift’s exes can’t stand her, and the public is getting fed up with the troublemaker, too.
13 Porsha Williams
When Porsha Williams first appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was the loving and doting wife to former NFL player Kordell Stewart. After their divorce,Williams went completely buck wild and found herself in trouble again and again. The reality television star was arrested twice in 2014 - once for driving on a suspended license, and the second time for simple battery against her co-star Kenya Moore. She has also had numerous run-ins with cast members on the hit BravoTv show.
Williams famously grabbed cast mate Moore’s horn and proceeded to drag the former beauty queen across the floor during the filming of the show’s reunion special. She also got into a physical altercation with co-star Cynthia Bailey while the cast enjoyed a relaxing ride on a yacht, and she attacked her former friend, Jami Ziegler, after a holiday party while cameras were rolling. We think it’s safe to assume that William’s middle name is definitely “Trouble.”
12 Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen has calmed down in recent years, especially after admitting he had been diagnosed as HIV-positive, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t forgotten about his hard-partying, troublemaking and drug-fueled days.Despite his bad boy ways, Sheen has been able to have quite a successful career in Hollywood, and he’s proof that a little bit of trouble doesn’t always signal the end of a career. The actor began to go downhill once his marriage to Brooke Mueller ended in 2011. He recruited a bunch of women, which he called his “goddesses,” and they all lived together in his home. The actor and his ladies then took part in week-long parties full of drugs, booze and reckless sex.
In interviews, he was completely out of it, like the time he claimed he didn’t need to go to rehab because he had “tiger blood” in his system. He then coined the term “Winning!” and everyone and their mom was blurting out the annoying phrase 24/7 thanks to Sheen.
He lost his role on Two and a Half Men for making derogatory comments about the show’s creator, he has been in and out of rehab, and he has even been jailed for assaulting Mueller. Although he has been quiet in recent years, we’re sure Sheen’s troublemaking days aren’t over yet.
11 Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj’s music career has taken a backseat to the drama that now surrounds her personal life. The Pink Friday rapper was once labeled the hottest female MC in the rap industry, but her talent has been overshadowed by her rocky personal life, and her beef with other artists.
After breaking up with her longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels, Minaj started a relationship with Philly rapper Meek Mill. Many assumed Minaj had cheated on Samuels with the rapper, so their relationship definitely didn’t get off on the right foot. After Mill sparked a rap beef with Drake, Minaj got pulled into the drama when Drake penned lyrics alluding to her being the breadwinner in their relationship. Now that Minaj’s relationship with Mill is reportedly on the outs, we’re sure her next romance will be just as dramatic and full of trouble.
Minaj also had disagreements with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus - two artists whose barks are definitely louder than their bites.
10 Azealia Banks
Harlem rapper Azealia Banks is definitely not known for her contributions to the music industry. Instead, Banks is better known for her constant drama and attention seeking ways. The rapper’s Twitter account was suspended after she used the platform to attack other artists, such as Iggy Azalea, and then there was the extremely random incident she had with Russell Crowe.
Banks was invited by Wu-Tang’s the RZA to Crowe’s dinner party at an NYC hotel. At the hotel, Banks reportedly became irate and threatened to stab guests. She claimed Crowe called her a racial slur and choked her as he proceeded to through her out the party. Banks filed charges, but the case was later thrown out.
Just recently, Banks revealed she had suffered a miscarriage and asked her Facebook followers for advice. People aren’t sure if she’s being serious, or if this is just another one of her ploys to garner some attention. But one thing’s for sure, this won’t be the last time Banks will be in the middle of some trouble.
9 Miley Cyrus
WTF happened to Miley Cyrus? She used to be so sweet and wholesome as the adorable Hannah Montana on the Disney channel. But like most Disney stars, Cyrus’s life has done a complete 180, and she’s practically a completely different person these days.
Cyrus’s music is no longer what gets her noticed. She now makes the cover of gossip magazines and the homepage of blogs for acting erratically and making a scene everywhere she goes. She’s a strong supporter of the Free the Nipple movement, and we’re still not sure if she just wants to flash her breasts or if she truly cares about the cause.
Although Cyrus has managed to not get arrested for her antics, she’s doing more than enough damage to her reputation by acting out online and showing up on stage with her butt and tongue constantly hanging out.
8 Shia LaBeouf
Shia LaBeouf's childhood was far from perfect, and his troubled upbringing could be the reason by his drama-filled life. The actor has a lot of potential to be one of the most notable actors of our time, but he just can’t seem to stay away from all the drama.
He has been accused of threatening his neighbor with a knife, he has been arrested for driving drunk, got into a critical accident that severely damaged his hand and caused a ruckus in a drugstore for absolutely no reason at all. His latest brush with drama included getting into a rap battle with Soulja Boy. LaBeouf called out the rapper and other artists in the music industry for not writing their own lyrics, and Soulja Boy retaliated by forbidding LaBeouf from stepping foot in the city of Atlanta.
Now that LaBeouf has gotten married, we really thought he would settle down a bit with all of the drama, but things only seem to be getting worse. It won’t be long before he’s in the news again for all the wrong reasons.
7 50 Cent
Rapper 50 Cent hasn’t had a major hit in years, so he spends the majority of his free time causing a ruckus and creating drama online. The rapper is always throwing his two cents into the mix and voicing his opinion about everyone’s business. He has been in online beefs with Floyd Mayweather and rapper Rick Ross, and he has used his social media profiles as a platform to verbally attack his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child.
The rapper experienced a bit of financial trouble and was forced to file bankruptcy. You would think that this would humble him just a bit, but it didn’t. Instead of taking a break from social media during a trying time, 50 posed with a mound of money to proclaim to the “haters” that although he had filed for bankruptcy, he was still “rich.” As I’m sure you can suspect, this caused some major drama with his bankruptcy trustee, and you would think 50 would have learned his lesson from that stunt, but that’s definitely not the case. He continues to verbally attack anyone when he feels he has been threatened. We think it’s about time he logoff from his social media accounts before he really gets himself into some trouble.
6 Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes was on the verge of becoming a pretty talented actress in the entertainment industry. But after leaving Nickelodeon behind, Bynes career took a nosedive, and she has been in and out of trouble ever since.
Before being diagnosed with a mental illness, the star was frequently arrested on drug charges, and she even landed herself in jail after tossing a bong from her New York City apartment window. Once the actress started a fire on her neighbor’s driveway, we knew she was definitely dealing with some issues, but it took her family a bit of time to take control and save her.
Bynes would frequently take to her Twitter account to go on nonsensical rants about artists, such as Drake, and she also used the social media platform to accuse her dad of sexually abusing her. Her mother finally stepped in and was granted conservatorship over Bynes, and things seemed to be getting better for her. She was spotted out and about looking healthy and happy, but there are still some times when Bynes reportedly logs into her secret Twitter account to stir up the drama and craziness for old time’s sake.
5 Kanye West
There was once a time when Kanye West was the hottest rapper and producer in the Hip Hop industry. Everyone was lining up to get the artist to feature on their records, and it was pretty clear that West was going to be a permanent fixture in the industry. But these days, it seems like drama continues to follow West wherever he goes.
Many people want to blame his fall from grace on the Kardashians, but you have to wonder if his life would’ve taken this same path if he hadn’t married Kim. The rapper is reportedly dealing with mental health issues, and he had a complete meltdown in November 2016 which landed him in the psych ward at a Los Angeles hospital. Prior to his hospital stay, he had gone on rants about other artists in the industry, including Beyonce, Jay Z and Kid Cudi. He also produced some pretty wacky fashions that gave his Yeezy clothing line the type of attention he really wasn’t expecting.
Now that West is on the road to recovery following his mental episode, we know it’s only a matter of time before he goes off on another one of his rants.
4 Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen is a gorgeous supermodel who has a penchant for causing trouble online. As the wife to John Legend and the mother to adorable baby Luna, you would think Teigen would be far too busy living her glamourous life to pick fights on social media, but that’s just not the case. She has stuck her foot in her mouth numerous times, and despite being completely embarrassed on the social media platform for her antics, it doesn’t seem like she’ll be logging off anytime soon.
Teigen loves to speak out and voice her opinion on all issues, but it’s the way she approaches these hot topics that really rub people the wrong way. For example, after the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard divorce settlement was reached, and Heard promised to donate the $7 million dollars to various charities, Teigen took to her Twitter to call Heard the “Robin Hood of gold diggers.” Sure, everyone may have been thinking the exact same thing, but when you’re a public figure you have to pick and choose your words very carefully. As I’m sure you can imagine, Teigen was called out for her tweet and bashed for her words.
Other times, Teigen uses her Twitter to shed light on social issues, like the lack of diversity at the Miss Teen USA pageant. We only wish she would use her voice to promote more goodness in the world.
3 Chris Brown
Chris Brown just can’t seem to get it together, and at this point, we’re not even sure if he cares that his singing career has taken a backseat to his crazy antics.
It all started in 2009 when he was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The incident marked the start of Brown’s legal issues, probation violations and numerous stints in rehab. The singer has dealt with some uncontrollable anger directed towards anyone who gets in his way, including his fans. The singer was also accused of throwing a chair through a window after an appearance on Good Morning America, and he has also gotten into a physical altercation with fellow singer Frank Ocean over a parking space.
Brown’s alleged drug use and mental health issues seem to be at the root of his problems, but instead of taking a break from the limelight to really deal with his issues, he continues to stir up trouble in his life. He desperately wants to be taken seriously in the music industry, and he’s still waiting for his second shot after the unfortunate Rihanna incident, but it’s pretty difficult for fans to give him a second chance when it seems like he’s addicted to causing trouble.
2 Justin Bieber
It seems like Justin Bieber was transformed from a sweet and innocent young boy into a troublemaking rebel overnight. The Canadian singer has been in the music industry since he was a young teenager, and the drama has followed him ever since.
His first taste of trouble came with his on-again off-again relationship with Selena Gomez. The two would breakup and reunite - much to the delight of their legions of fans. But when the two were on the outs, it was like a never-ending drama-filled rollercoaster. When Bieber would date anyone other than Gomez, his fans, the Beliebers, would viciously attack his new romantic partner relentlessly. Instead of keeping his private life private to avoid all the drama and backlash, Bieber has continued to parade his flock of women in front of the media and online.
Throughout the years, the singer’s personality and his love for his fans has seemed to change, as well. He completely stopped doing meet and greets at his tour because he said it was too emotionally draining, and footage of the star punching his fans and throwing away their gifts have been posted online. Bieber has been arrested for DUI and was even caught vandalizing a wall in Rio. It seems like he just doesn’t care too much about anything these days, and we doubt he’ll be able to leave his troublemaking persona in the past anytime soon.
1 Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan was on the verge of being one of the few child stars who was able to transition from kiddie roles into adult gigs with ease. But after starring in Mean Girls, her career took a complete nosedive. The actress seems to have a love for the fast life, and it was her days in the Hollywood party circuit that really caused a lot of legal and financial issues in her life.
Lohan has been arrested more times than we can remember, and she’s been hit with charges ranging from DUI to theft. After finally getting off of probation, Lohan left America behind and started a new life in London away from the bright lights of Tinsel Town, but she soon figured out it wasn’t her location that was causing problems, it was her.
In London, Lohan started a relationship with Russian millionaire Egor Tarabasov, and the two embarked on a whirlwind romance that was full of drama, abuse and cheating allegations. Video of Lohan on the balcony of her London apartment was released, and the actress was seen shaken up after Tarabasov reportedly choked her. Another video showed the couple in a scuffle by a beach as they argued over a cellphone. Lohan and Tarabasov finally decided to go their separate ways, but Lohan’s drama will likely continue with her next relationship. It’s almost like she craves dysfunction!
