15 Taylor Swift And Taylor Lautner
You are probably not surprised to see that Taylor Swift made it onto this list. After all, she has a pretty active dating life. But she managed to keep her relationship with Taylor Lautner mostly under wraps. The pair dated briefly in 2009 when she was an adorable teen country star. They met while filming Valentine’s Day, and the pair played ultra good-looking college sweethearts. However, the relationship ended and Swift then dated John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston. (A pretty handsome/impressive list of exes by anyone’s standards, right?!) However, she made sure to memorialise the relationship with a song called "Back to December.” Lautner kept fairly quiet about the relationship and subsequent break up, but he did have something to say about her making music about him. Keeping it civil, he simply said; "That is what she does." Well, who can blame him, he isn’t wrong!
14 Alanis Morissette And Ryan Reynolds
One of the most unexpected celebrity couples on this list must be Alanis Morissette and Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds has had a star studded love life: he's well-known for being married to the blonde bombshell Blake Lively and was previously married to Scarlett Johansson. Most people know about those relationships, but very few people know that he was engaged to Alanis Morissette first. The pair were together between 2002 and 2007, which is a surprisingly long time for a celebrity relationship. They first met at Drew Barrymore’s birthday party, and then the pair dated for just over four years. It seems like the relationship was very serious; after they broke up Alanis went on to write a full album about the break up (Flavors of Entanglement). “I didn't even realize it while I was writing the record, but it definitely goes through all the stages of grief,” she said at a later date.
13 Natalie Portman And Moby
Natalie Portman and Moby dated for a short amount of time in 2001, but according to the singer, the relationship was more hassle than it was worth. Apparently he received a lot of abuse about the relationship, and he said back in 2008, “I guess in some people's eyes, [nerds] might be mildly sexy - and, as a nerd, I'm certainly happy to enjoy some of the effects of that. But as far as the very brief affair that I had with Natalie, it’s made me a target of a lot of nerd wrath. You don’t date Luke Skywalker’s mom and not have them hate your guts.” That does sound pretty difficult, and we don’t really understand the abuse. The pair were weirdly well-suited, but it seems that the nerd wrath was simply too much for both of them in the end. However, the pair seem to be on fairly good terms, and both have moved on with their lives.

Back in the 90s, when Justin was still a fresh-faced, curly-haired cutie, he and Fergie were a couple. The year was 1996 and Justin was a 16-year-old soon-to-be teen pop star, while Fergie was a beautiful 23-year-old and one-third of the edgy pop trio Wild Orchid. We can’t help but assume that the glamorous (sorry, couldn’t help it) Fergie taught the teen everything he knows about love and all that. In a later interview, she said, “Justin and I would go out together and have fun and make out. We were never serious. He was Mr. Right Now.” Fair enough! The relationship was a fun fling, but the pair soon separated amicably and moved on. Justin is now married to his on-again, off-again love Jessica Biel. He told Vanity Fair in 2011 that, “She is single-handedly the most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person.” Awww!

Ryan Gosling and Sandra Bullock may have a 16-year age gap between then, but the pair still dated for about a year between 2002 and 2003. They met while they were filming Murder by Numbers, and as a couple, they made a series of red carpet appearances together. While the couple seemed very happy together, it was rumored to be a messy break up and it supposedly left Sandra Bullock with a broken heart. However, Ryan has since called her one of the greatest girlfriends of all time, alongside his ex Rachel McAdams. He said, “I had two of the greatest girlfriends of all time. I haven't met anybody who could top them.” Aww, a true gentleman – but we can’t help but wonder if what Eva Mendes thinks of this quote?! We’re sure she doesn’t mind. Either way, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Gosling made a beautiful couple, and now the pair seem to be on friendly terms.
10 Cher And Tom Cruise
Did you know that the two dated?! Now for the second celebrity couple with a 16-year age gap! Cher and Tom Cruise dated in 1987 when Cher was at the peak of her fame and he was just starting out. Despite the age difference, Cher has since called Tom "shy" and she admitted that she was "crazy about him." Cute! In fact, Cher only has good things to say about Tom... especially when she is talking about his skills in the bedroom. In a candid interview with Andy Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the 67-year-old said, “I had just the greatest lovers ever.” She went on to say, “Not a long list. It's just a good list.” Cher is known for turning down lots of male superstars, from Elvis Presley to Marlon Brando. Nick Lachey was very popular in 2006 after his high-profile divorce from Jessica Simpson. The media didn't leave him alone... and apparently neither could Kim Kardashian. At the time she was an LA socialite who was best known for her tape and being Paris Hilton’s assistant. She certainly wanted to find fame, but it seems that her desire to find fame quickly turned her relationships with Nick Lachey sour. He now claims that she arranged paparazzi photos for their date without telling him, which he disliked. He said: “Let’s just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside.” Seems pretty sketchy. He then went on to suggest that the future reality star had tipped off the paparazzi to boost her fame. He said, “there are certain ways to play this game, and some people play it well.” Awkward!

Leonardo DiCaprio is no stranger to dating truly beautiful women. In fact, his dating history reads a little bit like the latest Victoria’s Secret catalogue. However, he did stray away from his normal model type when he started dating Blake Lively a few years ago. Sure, Blake is leggy and blonde like most of his exes, but their relationship seemed to be more serious than Leo’s standard relationship. The pair were spotted hanging out together at Cannes on a few different occasions, and then the couple was spotted touring around Europe together holding hands. Sadly the relationship ended, but apparently the pair remain friends. However, Leo seemed to be more heart broken than Blake, with his close friends claiming that he thought that Blake was "the one" for him. “[I have] never seen him like this with a girl,” one friend said to Us Weekly. Blake is now married to Ryan Reynolds.

You may not have heard about Kiera Knightley and Mr. Grey/Jamie Dornan’s romance, but it actually spanned two years between 2003 and 2005, which is fairly impressive for a celebrity relationship. When the pair were dating Kiera was a super famous movie star and Jamie was simply a beautiful Calvin Klein model. They seemed very happy together, and Jamie said that being in a relationship with a movie star helped him to prepare for later fame. Both of the film stars are now happily married to other people, but the pair may not be on good terms. The pair both seemed to be trying to avoid an awkward run in during the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Tea Party Awards gala in 2015 in Beverly Hills. Both of the celebrities were seen talking to the same people throughout the night, but they both avoided being pictured together.
6 Drew Barrymore And Christian Bale
If you’re wondering why you didn’t hear about the relationship between Drew Barrymore and Christian Bale, it’s because it only lasted for one evening. The A-list pair just went on one date together twenty years ago, but Christian is apparently still thinking about the night. The Dark Knight Rises star told an Australian men’s magazine that the date was fairly terrible. He said, "We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it. She never called again.” Slightly awkward. However, a second date may not have been arranged for other reasons. At the time, Drew was a well-known actress who was very busy -- she had already starred in E.T. and Firestarter and she was working on lots of other projects. We’re definitely hoping that her schedule was the real reason why she didn’t see Christian again. We definitely like to imagine that they would have made a very sweet couple!

Britney Spears generally seems to prefer dating men who aren’t big celebrities. At the time of their relationships, her ex-fiance Jason Trawick was a talent manager, KFed was a backup dancer, and Charlie Ebersol was a TV producer. But she has had a few celebrity relationships, and some are more well-known than others. We all know about Britney and Justin, but not many people know about Britney and Colin. That’s right, Britney Spears and bad boy actor Colin Farrell dated each other in 2003. The pair had a brief fling after one date, but it seems that Colin didn’t take the relationship very seriously. He said that he was "just a 26-year-old guy who's single and having a good time." Later Britney seemed to brush off rumors about her relationship with Colin Farrell, but the cheeky actor wasn’t deterred, deciding to send her a T-shirt that said, “I slept with Colin Farrell and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." Perhaps not the greatest gift idea for a girl who you only went on one date with.

Another surprising celebrity couple on this list is Cameron Diaz and Robbie Williams. The pair dated briefly in 2003 after they were spotted holding hands and kissing on a beach in Santa Monica. The pair even went on a go-karting date in Germany, which totally sounds like a lot of fun! It seemed like Robbie managed to work his cheeky British charm on Cameron, but sadly the pair spilt up before the summer had ended. You may think that the story ended here, but Cameron actually helped Robbie with his love life later down the line. After Robbie spilt up with his then-girlfriend Ayda Field, Cameron apparently helped to save the relationship. Ayda Field has said, “A few months into our relationship, we had a break up. Well we had a couple of break ups actually. He went to the Chateau Marmont and got talking to Cameron Diaz.... While they were talking, she said to him, you obviously still love your girlfriend; you need to go home to her. And he did. I always have a special place for her in my heart now.” So sweet!

Jessica Biel and Chris Evans had an on and off again relationship for five years after filming two movies together (London and Cellular), but the relationship was fairly private. (We’re not sure why and we’d really like to know why the turbulent relationship was so on again and off again!) Jessica Biel and Chris Evans certainly made a very good looking couple. Every time they stepped out they looked like models walking down a runway, but apparently perfect looks aren’t enough to save a relationship. Jessica and Chris eventually broke up for good in 2006. The relationship ended and the pair went on to achieve great things individually. Both celebrities starred in multiple Hollywood blockbusters. Jessica also went on to date Derek Jeter before eventually marrying Justin Timberlake, so we imagine that she is okay with the spilt. She now has two children with the pop star. Chris and Jessica are on friendly terms.
2 Sarah Jessica Parker And Robert Downey Jr.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr. had a two year relationship during the 1980s, but the relationship eventually ended due to his constant drinking and drug abuse. Robert later said, “She provided me a home and understanding. She tried to help me. She was so miffed when I didn’t get my act together. Sarah Jessica would pull me out of a hangover, and we’d go pick out furniture together. She is a force of nature!” According to Robert, the couple was "absolutely" in love with each other. In 2008 he said,"I was so selfish. I liked to drink, and I had a drug problem, and that didn't jive with Sarah Jessica because it is the furthest thing from what she is." It sounds like a loving and yet difficult relationship, and we are glad that the pair are both happier now. The Iron Man star is still friendly with Jessica. He said about visiting her home "and seeing her I was like, she's so great and so cool and so funny and in command, and I got to meet her kids and I saw the way that she and (her husband) Matthew lived, and I respect both of them so much."

Rihanna is known for her string of celebrity exes, but not many people know that she went on one date with Shia LaBeouf. The Transformers star has since spoken about the date, saying that it doesn’t didn’t feel right between them. He was first contacted by the singer, and eventually the pair decided to meet up. He said, “It never got beyond one date. The spark wasn't there. We weren't passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.” At least they are still friends! Both Rihanna and Shia LaBeouf have since admitted that it was one date and neither of them are interested in pursuing a relationship, but we are slightly sad that sparks didn’t fly. It’s pretty fun to imagine what their relationship might have been like. Would she have starred in his "Just Do It" video? Because that is something that lots of people would like to see!
